Biodiversity Research Biologist at DUC

Location: Stonewall

Advance biodiversity conservation with Ducks Unlimited Canada as a Biologist. This full-time position emphasizes applied research in wetland ecology and effective communication of findings.

The Biologist role is a one-year term based at the DUC head office near Stonewall, MB, with potential for remote work in Canada. Reporting to a Research Scientist, you will focus on ecological research, data management, and collaboration with partners. Your insights will play a vital role in habitat conservation, restoration, and informing Canadian conservation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on biodiversity and wetland ecology

• Manage and analyze ecological and geospatial data

• Contribute to scientific manuscripts and reports

• Collaborate with conservation stakeholders and agencies

• Develop science communication content for outreach

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in ecology or related field

• Minimum three years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in ArcGIS or similar GIS tools

• Field research experience in diverse environmental settings

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
