MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Degree or diploma in Information Management, Records Management, Library and Information Studies, Archives Management, Information Governance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with additional education or experience in a related field, such as risk and compliance, access and privacy, change management, and information studies.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of five years’ experience working within an office environment is required.
- Experience in dealing effectively and diplomatically with senior members of an organization and the public, and ability to foster harmonious working relationships with other staff, both academic and support, is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Strong research and analytical skills required.
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance auditing is required.
- Experience applying records retention schedules, disposition requirements, and information lifecycle management practices is required.
- Experience working with large volumes of unstructured information, shared drives, enterprise content repositories, or cloud-based collaboration platforms is required.
- Experience participating in records cleanup, digitization, information governance, or data quality initiatives is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in access and privacy or risk management roles.
- Experience working within a post-secondary, public sector, healthcare, or regulated environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, SharePoint Online, One Drive, and emerging information management technologies is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with automation and analytics tools used to identify records, duplicate content, and obsolete information across enterprise repositories is considered an asset.
