Join KGS Group as an Archaeologist in Winnipeg, Manitoba, acting as a recognized permit holder. Supervise fieldwork and Heritage Resource Impact Assessments while collaborating with Indigenous communities.
This role in the Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment Department seeks a skilled Archaeologist with a relevant degree and proven field experience. You will oversee small teams in archaeological tasks, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations, and maintaining KGS Group's high standards. Your work will involve both field planning and communication with community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a permit holder recognized by the provincial regulator
• Supervise Heritage Resource Impact Assessments in Manitoba
• Conduct fieldwork tasks, including surveys and documentation
• Manage small teams during archaeological investigations
• Coordinate with project management for field logistics
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in archaeology with permit-holding capability
• 1+ year experience directing archaeological fieldwork
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license
