Position: Customer-Focused Meat Clerk Role

Join Gardenland Co-op as a Meat Clerk and provide top-notch customer service. Handle raw meat and ensure the meat department remains organized and hygienic.

In this role, you will engage with customers to assist with their meat orders while packaging and pricing various cuts. Upholding Co-op brand values is crucial, as is maintaining stellar communication with both customers and coworkers. You'll work in a cool, damp environment, ensuring when managing meat products that all safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wrap and package cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood

• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization in the meat department

• Engage with customers and answer their inquiries about products

• Prepare homemade items such as hamburger patties

• Ensure compliance with first-in-first-out merchandising processes

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a meat or kitchen environment preferred

• Good communication skills; must be fluent in English

• Able to work in a cold environment handling raw meat

• Capability to lift between 30-50 lbs when necessary

• Willing to learn new skills related to meat cutting
