Job Duties
- Efficiently cut, trim, and process various types of meat, following specific standards and recipes.
- Perform regular checks to ensure all meat products meet quality and freshness criteria.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines in all meat handling and processing activities.
- Package meat products effectively, ensuring they are ready for sale and attractively presented.
- Assist in inventory control, including monitoring stock levels and aiding in ordering and restocking.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of meat processing equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with the meat department team and other store departments to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with meat selection, offering cooking tips, and responding to inquiries about quality and sourcing.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in meat cutting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation in a retail environment
- Supermarket and meat department
- Supermarket/grocery store
- Strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Lifting:
Must frequently lift heavy items, up to 50 pounds. - Standing/Moving:
Prolonged standing and moving required. - Hand Use:
Skilled hand usage for meat handling and machinery operation. - Bending/Stooping:
Regular bending and reaching are necessary. - Cold Environment:
Ability to work in cooler temperatures. - Scheduling:
Requires availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays. - Vision and Hearing:
Good eyesight and hearing are essential for job precision and safety. - Repetitive Tasks:
Comfort with performing repetitive actions for extended periods.
This is a permanent and full‑time position, 40 hours of work per week.

Wage$23.91 per hour.
