Maxim is searching for a Parts Purchaser with technical expertise in heavy-duty truck and trailer parts to ensure inventory efficiency in Winnipeg. This role focuses on optimizing inventory and fostering supplier relationships.
As a Parts Purchaser at Maxim, you'll be instrumental in ordering parts across various locations and maintaining optimal stock levels. Your responsibilities will include negotiating pricing with vendors and collaborating with Parts Managers to enhance operational success. Additionally, you will analyze supplier costs and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Order parts for all Maxim locations, including emergency orders
• Maintain stock order minimums and maximums for inventory
• Analyze supplier offerings and costs using MS Excel
• Support efforts to reduce obsolete inventory with vendor returns
• Collaborate with Parts staff on inquiries regarding invoices and freight
Requirements:
• Experience sourcing parts in a multi-branch retail setting
• Knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts preferred
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders
• Attention to detail and aptitude for numbers
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
