About the RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic
Shop Manager to lead our new pop-up shop at Kildonan
Place. The successful candidate will begin training in a shop near by in mid October, with the new shop expected to open in late October.
The Shop Manager is responsible for achieving overall profitability, maintaining efficient shop operations, and providing effective leadership to the retail team. This role acts as a liaison between the shop and the Purdys Support Office while supporting company policies, programs, and initiatives.
Success in this role comes from your ability to engage customers, drive sales, develop team members, and create an exceptional in-store experience.
This is a full-time, 6-month contract position requiring open availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
There is potential for this position to become permanent based on business needs and performance.
In this role, you will:- Drive sales performance and achieve profitability goals
- Deliver Customer Obsessed Service and Sales through leadership by example
- Recruit, interview, and hire high-quality team members
- Train, coach, schedule, and develop team members
- Build a strong talent pipeline by developing future internal candidates
- Manage inventory levels of products and supplies to meet operational needs
- Are passionate about chocolate and have at least two years of progressive management experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment
- Are self-motivated, results-driven, and enthusiastic about selling a quality product
