At Adult & Teen Challenge Super Thrift is a vital part of the Adult & Teen Challenge organization, dedicated to providing financial support for life-changing programs that help people overcome life-controlling addictions through a faith-based approach. Super Thrift is more than a store, it’s a community hub dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction. This role is a blend of both back end operations and front facing customer service. The role will include a variety of tasks including accepting dropped off donations, supporting donations arriving from store pickup, sorting and pricing donations, putting out new stock, serving customers, general storing and organization of product, assisting customers with the fitting rooms, and merchandising stock on the sales floor.

To provide additional store support this position will be trained as back up for cash and will assist as required.

• Stock shelves with new inventory.
• Create and maintain sales displays.
• Assist customers with the fitting rooms and putting away unwanted items.
• Clean and tidy merchandise and display areas.
• Carry product to a customer’s vehicle.

• Accept customer donations.
• Sort and categorize donated items.
• Inspect items quality and determine suitability for sale.
• Price items in a consistent manner, in line with company standards.
• Move and organize inventory in the production areas.

• Ensure all customers, donors, and visitors receive courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and respectful manner and elevate to leadership as required.
• Greeting customers, offering assistance, answering questions and offering product recommendations.

As required you will be asked to help with or will be scheduled to work cashier duties.

• Assist customers with checkout and purchase.
• Operate checkout equipment including cash register, debit and credit machines and scanners.
• Manage cash through receipt of and providing correct change.
• Process customer payments including cash, credit, debit, coupons and gift certificates.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
• Process returns/exchanges.

• Train new staff as required and assigned by store leadership.
• Answer phones.
