Support customers at Giant Tiger’s Portage Avenue store in Winnipeg through accurate checkout transactions and attentive service. Work full time across days, selected evenings, and alternating weekends.
This Store Associate position centers on mainline and self checkouts while supporting merchandise and store presentation. You will follow Tobacco and Lottery policies, maintain labels and tickets, complete cycle counts, and uphold health and safety guidelines. Strong interpersonal skills support daily interactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate mainline and self checkouts accurately
- Ensure compliance when selling Tobacco and Lottery
- Maintain planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards
- Follow up on hot selling items
- Follow loss prevention best practices
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle varied tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and squat
Use checkout accuracy, communication, and policy awareness to support Giant Tiger customers and store standards every scheduled shift.
