Location: Winnipeg

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring the safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site, including personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Control access to the client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and mechanical problems.
• Protect evidence or the scene of an incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Respond to incidents, including fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, and hazardous materials.
• Prepare logs and reports as required.
• Satisfy client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitor intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training.
• Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified according to business necessity.

• Valid provincial Security Guard license.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.

• Physical and mental requirements include seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly.
• Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods; may involve climbing stairs and walking on uneven terrain.
• Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Must meet all applicable licensing requirements for Security Guards.
