Security Guard – Casual Position

Securitas is a global leader in the security industry, offering a range of services including on‑site guard, mobile patrol, technology solutions, remote guarding, and investigations. We are looking for casual security guards in the Steinbach, MB area. If you do not hold a valid security guard license or certificate, we will pay for training and guide you through obtaining a full license.

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites, ensuring security and safety of property, assets, and personnel.
• Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities, inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserve order and enforce site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Control access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process.
• Patrol sites on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfy client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk.
• Monitor intrusion detection systems using alarm and video monitoring software.
• Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training tasks.
• Protect evidence or the scene of an incident during accidents, emergencies, or investigations.

• Valid provincial security guard license (preferred).
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR considered an asset.

Monday to Friday: 1500–2300 or 2300–0700.
