As a Security Supervisor in the industrial sector in Gimli, you will be responsible for overseeing site security operations and ensuring the safety of client assets, tenants, and visitors. You will maintain a visible leadership presence while delivering professional, courteous, and consistent service at all times.

Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of security guards to ensure smooth day-to-day site operations.
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at all entry and exit gates, including grain trucks and fuel/alcohol tankers.
Manage reception and switchboard duties, assisting visitors, calls, and general site inquiries professionally.
Maintain overall site safety and security through constant vigilance and presence.
Operate and monitor access control systems, including card readers and a 96-camera CCTV network.
Handle key control procedures to ensure secure storage and proper issuance of all site keys.
Conduct two scheduled vehicle patrols each evening and night shift, requiring a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Perform regular mobile patrols, foot patrols, and stair patrols to maintain visibility and deter incidents.
Pick up mail in town on designated Monday and Wednesday evening shifts as part of site support duties.
Enforce site rules, municipal by-laws, and property regulations while protecting assets from theft, fire, assault, and other risks, and maintaining clear daily and incident reporting along with strong customer service at all times.
Qualifications
Good verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
Valid Manitoba Security Guard license
Team player with a collaborative attitude
First aid certification is beneficial
Ability to wear required PPE (CSA/ANSI approved safety footwear, gloves, safety glasses, and Hi Vis vest/jacket supplied by client)
Full Manitoba driving license with a reliable vehicle, able to commute and drive in inclement weather
Availability for primarily weekend shifts, with flexibility for day/evening shifts on certain weekends
Customer service oriented approach
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a stressful environment
