Overview
Shift supervisorisresponsiblefortheassistingin the supervision and direction of all officers assigned to the Shift, assessing the performance of site officers, andmaintenanceof Track Tik. The Shift supervisor will alsobe responsibleformaintainingthe daily operation of the Shift schedule. This position reports to the Security Manager.
Essential Job FunctionsEnsures that all services provided by staff assigned within the portfolio are delivered per the clients wishes and best interests andin accordance with Paladins Code of Ethics. Managing emergencies effectively andresponsibly, and provide required reports to Security Managerin a timely manner. Respond professionally to site emergencies (alarms, medical emergencies, firesand other urgent matters) in accordance withsite orders;
Coach and mentor all officers assigned toshift/site, liaise with Security Managerto relay any performance or coaching instances;
Maintain detailed, working knowledge of the SOPs and their implementation;
Maintain the pass on binder and ensure that employees on shift, view and initial all items Ensure all the month end testing is completed and recorded;
Monitor site visitors, camera, and alarm systems to ensure safety and accessin accordance withsite policies and procedures;
Prepare andmaintainprofessional and effective reportsregardingthe activities, securityviolationsand hazardous occurrences on site;
Ensure that their team members, upon arrival at the site, have their security guard license and their dress and deportment areappropriate;
Review daily Logs,TrackTIkTour Reports and elevate to Security Managerany issues. Ensure that all patrols are completed and logged in an efficient andtimelyfashion;
Ensure all the month endsignupsheets, calendrersare put away and current ones posted Fire extinguishertestingis completed and recorded intimelymanner. Review andsavingCCTV footage as needed for police investigation or requested by Artis REIT. Ensure staff are adhering to relevant Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation and site-specific safety guidelines, and that staff have reviewed and understand Paladins OH&S; policies and procedures. Ensures properon boarding and training are provided to newly hired staff and that newly trained staffare able todemonstratean acceptable level of site knowledge.
Maintain and update building EBICard Access changes as per tenant change requests when needed. Ensure Security Desk and Security Office aremaintainedin a professional manner, clear of clutter. All required spread sheets are in stock and never run out. Other duties as required from time to time.
Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of Supervisory training levels 1,2 and 3 and site assigned LMS courses Current First Aid/ CPR certificate Current/valid CPI (NVCI) certificate Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy. Proven leadership skills complimented by a strong understanding of Paladins core values and culture. Be able to manageowntimeand perform duties consistently under minimum supervision.
Excellent Englishwritten and verbal communication skills. Basiccomputerliteracy(MS Office Suite) and organizational skills. Able to perform consistently in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities. Self-motivated and comfortable working in acollaborative team environment. Maintain competency of site CCTVsystem.
High School Diploma/GED Certification Requirements (All) First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification Valid Manitoba Security Guard License Minimum of 1 year security experience.
