Position: Security Guard
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Type: Full‑time
Pay: $18.46 per hour
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 15:00 to 23:00 – full availability required.
Requirements- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Experience with report writing and note‑taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- Valid Manitoba security guard license.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in using a computer.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F driver’s license (ability to operate a shuttle van).
- Clear radio communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience monitoring CCTV cameras.
- Ability to respond to incidents and emergencies.
- Team‑work orientation.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Present a polished, professional, customer‑friendly image at all times.
- Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
- Undertake site‑specific training and follow direction and guidance from the Site Supervisor or Manager.
- Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision‑making ability, especially when taking charge and directing others in emergencies or incidents.
- Maintain meticulous record‑keeping, report writing, observation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Operate and monitor security room equipment; complete site‑required training.
