Northern Lights Compliance Officer Role

Take a pivotal position as a Safety and Compliance Officer with Northern Lights School Division #113 based in La Ronge. This full-time role emphasizes regular inspections and safety compliance at educational facilities.

Your primary focus will be on maintaining high safety standards through systematic inspections and compliance checks. This role involves not only overseeing safety protocols at various facilities but also correcting any safety violations. Your efforts will ensure that students and staff are secure at all times across multiple buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out shop inspections for safe equipment and environment

• Assess compliance with National Building Code regulations

• Inspect playground equipment at all associated schools

• Ensure fire extinguishers are inspected and operational

• Address OH&S violations with facility personnel

Requirements:

• Technical or Applied Science Certificate in carpentry

• Certification in safety programs such as First Aid and CPR

• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations

• Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle

• Willingness to travel throughout the division
