Full-Time Security Officer at APC

Become a key team member at Assiniboine Park Conservancy as a full-time Security Officer. Ensure safety and security for visitors and park assets with a focus on proactive measures.

We are looking for a Security Officer dedicated to protecting Assiniboine Park's environment. In this full-time role, you will monitor park facilities and assist in emergencies while following established guidelines. Your abilities in conflict resolution and problem-solving are essential for maintaining a safe visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the park and zoo actively, day and night

• Ensure restricted access to closed areas and assist as needed

• Lock and secure buildings after hours, clearing where necessary

• Provide security phone assistance daily and conduct mail runs

• Monitor video feeds for security threats and incidents

Requirements:

• Valid Manitoba Security Guard License mandatory

• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification required

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience

• Must be physically capable of executing security duties
