Overview:

Allied Universal is currently seeking a Security Guard Team Lead to support daily site operations through schedule management, front desk access control, and active patrol oversight. This role is responsible for ensuring the site is properly staffed, maintaining strong visibility throughout the property, and supporting a safe and professional environment for staff, visitors, and clients.

The Security Guard Team Lead plays a critical role in the success of day-to-day operations by leading security personnel, monitoring site activity, addressing incidents in a timely manner, and ensuring all post duties are completed to standard. As a leader on site, the Security Supervisor must demonstrate professionalism, accountability, strong communication, and sound judgment at all times.

Specific Duties Performed and

Essential Functions:
  • Supervise and support on-site security personnel to ensure high performance and compliance with AUS standards
  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of campus security guards to ensure effective coverage and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor daily security operations, including patrol assignments, access control, and incident response, to maintain a safe and secure campus environment.
  • Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from the Site Supervisor and Manager
  • Conduct regular patrol inspections and audits to ensure security personnel are performing duties effectively and following established protocols.
  • Identify safety risks, security breaches, and operational concerns; recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
  • Train new security staff and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Enforce uniform, conduct, and equipment standards; ensure all personnel report fit for duty and comply with licensing requirements.
  • Assist in developing and updating security procedures, post orders, and emergency response plans.
  • Liaise with internal departments, students, staff, and external agencies to support investigations and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Maintain inventory and accountability of security equipment and ensure proper usage by staff.
  • Conduct incident investigations and complete detailed reports using Heliaus Device
Requirement:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills to produce clear and concise reports and understand rules, regulations, policies, and similar instructions.
  • Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Manitoba security guard license.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be proficient using computer
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must have a Valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver’s License.
  • Ability to clearly communicate using a radio
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors for long hours in all weather conditions
  • Strong computer proficiency and experience in monitoring CCTV cameras.
  • Ability to respond to incidents and emergencies
