Protect the wellbeing of patients and staff at Selkirk Mental Health Centre as a Security Officer. Available shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays for this in-person position.
In this role at Shared Health, you'll engage with a diverse community while ensuring security across the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. You’ll utilize your experience with security measures and your communication skills to manage interpersonal interactions effectively. Your aim will be to aid in the recovery of patients while navigating the complexities of a mental health facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safety for patients, staff, and visitors
• Manage unauthorized individuals accessing the premises
• Utilize security technologies for comprehensive monitoring
• Assist during incidents and facilitate emergency responses
• Maintain a secure environment following protocols
Requirements:
• Manitoba standards high school education required
• Class 5 driver's license for operational needs
• Experience in healthcare security preferred
• Demonstrated ability in crisis management techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
