Security Team Manager for WRHA

Be a key leader in the WRHA Security Team, safeguarding the healthcare environment for all. This Manager role ensures effective security operations and the enforcement of hospital policies.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities Support Services, you will oversee security measures and operational procedures at designated WRHA hospitals. Your responsibilities include managing access control, training staff, and reviewing security performance metrics to enhance overall safety. You will play a vital role in crisis management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement security strategies to protect persons and property

• Analyze security incidents and recommend policy improvements

• Ensure adequate security staffing and coverage

• Manage budgeting and resource allocation for the team

• Coordinate responses to emergency situations

Requirements:

• Minimum five years supervisory experience in security

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Administration, or a related area

• Proficient in security systems and Microsoft Office

• Must have a valid Manitoba Security Guard License

• Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities
