Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Canad Inns Destination Center Portage la Prairie
.

This role requires availability to work weekdays and weekends, days and evenings, and holidays as needed.

Location:

Portage la Prairie, MB.

• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Repairs all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed.
• Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, painting, etc.
• Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary.
• All other duties as required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Ability to safely work at heights of up to 10 feet.
• Physically capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
