We’re currently looking for both Entry-Level and Experienced Security Technicians to join our growing team. Whether you’re new to the trade or have years of experience, if you’re technically minded, reliable, and excited about working with new technology — we want to hear from you.

Our technicians install and service everything Oakley Alarms offers — alarms, cameras, smart home systems, access control, and monitoring apps. You’ll work independently, drive a company vehicle, and represent our brand at job sites across Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities
  • Install and service alarm systems, video surveillance, and smart home monitoring equipment
  • Configure systems and connect devices to mobile apps and monitoring platforms
  • Educate customers on how to use their systems and apps
  • Maintain clean work spaces, manage appointments, and complete service documentation
  • Operate a company vehicle and take care of assigned tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety and security protocols
Entry-Level Applicants
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Interest in technology and comfort with smartphones, apps, and Wi-Fi-based systems
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Comfortable using hand tools and working on ladders
  • Mechanically inclined or previous experience in trades is an asset
Experienced Technicians
  • 2+ years of experience with alarms, access control, or surveillance systems
  • Knowledge of smart home apps, IP-based systems, and low-voltage wiring
  • Manitoba Class M Low Voltage Electrical License (preferred)
  • Ability to manage your own service schedule and complete detailed work
