Senior Fire Alarm Technician – Service, Inspection & Installation (CFAA Certified)
Salary: $25–$32 per hour depending on experience (can be revisited if needed)

Staffmax is hiring on behalf of our client for a CFAA-Certified Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join their growing team. This position involves service, inspection, and installation work, with opportunities to advance as the company expands its fire suppression and alarm division.

What you’ll do

• Perform fire alarm inspections, verifications, and service per CAN/ULC-S536 & S537 standards

• Install, program, commission, and troubleshoot new and existing systems

• Conduct and document Verification Inspections and issue reports

• Lead or support field teams during larger installations

• Review and interpret blueprints and schematics

• Communicate with building owners, contractors, and engineers

• Provide guidance to junior technicians and participate in on-call rotation

What you bring

• Valid CFAA Certification

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fire alarm inspection, service, or installation

• Knowledge of National, Provincial, and Municipal Fire Codes

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

• M-Class Electrical License (asset)

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work safely at heights or confined spaces
