ACSI is seeking Electrician RED SEAL Journeypersons who will be integral to our project’s success, responsible for providing support and in-depth knowledge in the field relating to electrical matters, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to lay out work. Your expertise will support a range of activities which are critical to integrity of the electrical systems of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Installing cable tray and conduit and terminating cable. Locating and installing equipment, panels, sensors and other control components and devices.Fabricate control panels, wiring check-out.Responsible for laying out circuits, set up breaker panels and junction boxes, and install light fixtures and other electrical equipment.Ensure all electrical installations follow applicable regulations and trade practices.Install, alter, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment for safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation.Pull wire through conduits and cables through tray systems.Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels.Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, and if need be, replacing or repair following proper installation guidelines.Journeyperson will mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.Requirements and Experience
Valid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket with RED SEALWHMIS 2015 certificateFall ProtectionElevated Work platform (MEWP)Experience as an Electrician in an industrial construction environment.Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.MUST be fluent in English, both written and verbal.Project:

Location: 306 Highland Ave, Winnipeg, MB
Rate: $48.67 per hour
Overtime: as per Collective agreement
Schedule: 5x2, Monday - Friday
