Be a vital part of West Central Women's Resource Centre as a Transitional Housing Support Worker. Offer advocacy and case management in Winnipeg's transitional housing environment.
This new full-time role involves working directly with individuals impacted by violence, providing essential guidance and support on their paths to recovery. Activities include case coordination, individualized planning, and outreach to relevant services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing case management and individual support for clients
• Advocate for participants, fostering self-advocacy and empowerment
• Assist in linking clients to permanent housing opportunities
• Offer detailed information and system guidance for participants
• Conduct wellness checks and follow-up support as needed
Requirements:
• Experience in supporting victims of gender-based violence
• Knowledge of EIA and housing systems essential
• Strong foundation in harm reduction and trauma-informed care
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Driver’s license and personal vehicle needed
Support women and families on their journeys toward stability at West Central Women's Resource Centre.
