Join Carr's Place as a Summer Student Client Service Clerk in New Westminster, BC. This full-time temporary role offers hands-on experience in social justice and community support.
Carr's Place is looking for summer student clerks passionate about social justice, community service, and assisting vulnerable populations. This role focuses on delivering compassionate care and practical skills while understanding systemic challenges. Students will engage directly with those experiencing homelessness and addiction, supporting their journey to essential resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance and skill training to clients

• Support intake processes and develop service plans

• Assist with paperwork and manage statistical data

• Facilitate crisis intervention and needs assessment

• Perform various duties as required
Requirements:

• Enrollment in Social Work, Mental Health, or related program

• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset

• Ability to pass a satisfactory Criminal Record Check

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent planning and organization abilities
