Position: Support Advocate for Indigenous Students
Join the Morningstar initiative as a Support Advocate for Indigenous students and families at R.B. Russell Vocational High School. This position emphasizes collaborative support and resource management.
As a vital resource within the Morningstar program, you will engage directly with students and families, ensuring they receive necessary services. Responsibilities include navigating complex social service systems and maintaining student case files. You'll partner with school staff and community organizations to facilitate smoother transitions for students into high school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct support and advocacy for students

• Manage student case files and track progress

• Collaborate with school personnel and community partners

• Develop partnerships with local service providers

• Assist students transitioning to higher education
Requirements:

• Two years of experience with Indigenous families

• Knowledge of child welfare systems and legislation

• Strong case management and problem-solving abilities

• Leadership and communication skills essential

• Bachelor of Social Work or similar experience
