Probation Officers write court‑ordered reports, complete risk assessments, supervise and support adults and youth under probation, conditional sentences, community service orders and youth orders, conduct interviews, oversee case management, and deliver programs including restorative justice and reintegration support.

DutiesPrepare court reports; supervise and support adults and youth under probation, conditional sentences, community service orders, and youth orders; conduct interviews; oversee case management; deliver programs and facilitate alternatives to court including restorative justice; assist with reintegration from custody.
Qualifications – Essential- Post‑secondary education in social sciences or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Experience with case management for either youth or adults.
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in community networking.
- Assessment skills and effective intervention planning in a social services setting.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Satisfactory Enhanced Internal Security Screening Level IV.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Security Search.
- Satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Possess and maintain a valid Class 5F Manitoba driver's licence with access to a vehicle for business purposes.
