The Link is hiring for a Youth Care Practitioner role within the Youth Resource Centre. This position calls for you to engage with youth using a strength-based, trauma-informed approach while providing essential needs and facilitating crisis interventions. You will collaborate with various systems to ensure thriving outcomes for each youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate mental and spiritual support using the Medicine Wheel
• Conduct intake assessments for youth entering the shelter
• Provide crisis support and problem-solving assistance
• Maintain general facility upkeep and routine tasks
• Attend training and meetings for ongoing development
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child & Youth Care or relevant experience
• Experience working with at-risk youth essential
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and counseling skills
• Current Emergency First Aid and CPR certification
