The Council for Canada is recruiting two Settlement Coordinators, one in Northeast Ontario and the other in Southwest Ontario. In this role, you will help newcomers navigate their new environment with essential services including legal guidance, language education, and job searching assistance. The goal is to create effective Settlement Plans that foster community integration and enhance the quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement personalized Settlement Plans
• Guide newcomers in obtaining legal status and benefits
• Provide access to language training and housing solutions
• Assist with employment and educational resource navigation
• Connect clients to health care and financial services
Requirements:
• Experience in social work or community services
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to client-focused service
• Familiarity with community resources for newcomers
• Ability to work collaboratively within community frameworks
