Part-Time Yard Mentor at SWEEP

Support youth learning through yard maintenance as a Part-Time Yard Mentor with SWEEP this summer. Engage them in meaningful work while supervising tasks and ensuring safety.

The SWEEP program invites you to mentor youth in yard care and maintenance during its summer term. Your responsibilities will include supervising work activities and teaching essential gardening skills. This role plays a critical part in fostering youth development and community support through hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide youth in work tasks

• Ensure healthy work standards in all activities

• Instruct on the safe use of tools and machinery

• Evaluate and assess participant growth

• Exemplify outstanding customer service values

Requirements:

• Background in assisting vulnerable populations preferred

• Experience in customer service or landscaping an asset

• Valid First Aid/CPR certification required

• Clear driver’s license and background checks

• Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
