Cancer Care Manitoba seeks an Indigenous Social Worker committed to helping patients access equitable cancer care. This vital role provides culturally informed support for Indigenous and marginalized communities in Winnipeg.

As part of the interdisciplinary oncology team, the Indigenous Social Worker focuses on assessment, service navigation, and case management for oncology patients. Emphasizing trauma-informed care, this position addresses barriers faced by Indigenous patients. You'll collaborate with partners to enhance continuity of care and ensure culturally responsive service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide culturally safe case management for Indigenous patients

• Collaborate with teams and organizations for comprehensive support

• Advocate for equitable access to cancer care services

• Develop relationships within Indigenous communities and partners

• Contribute to decolonizing practices at Cancer Care Manitoba

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master of Social Work from an accredited institution

• 2 years of relevant social work experience

• Experience with Indigenous communities in Manitoba

• Commitment to cultural safety and anti-racism training

• Registration or eligibility to practice as a Social Worker in Manitoba
