Position: Housing Mentor at The Link
Make a difference as a Housing Mentor with The Link, supporting young adults ages 18-30. Provide trauma-informed care while helping individuals secure stable housing and achieve personal goals.

The Link is seeking a dedicated Housing Mentor to work in collaboration with the Housing First team. You will guide participants facing housing instability and support their journeys through daily assistance. Building respectful relationships and advocating for tenancy rights are essential components of this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop supportive relationships with program participants

• Assist in understanding tenancy rights and responsibilities

• Support maintaining clean and safe living spaces

• Advocate with landlords for participant needs

• Mediate issues between participants and landlords

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or relevant life experience

• Understanding of Indigenous peoples’ issues

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for work
