Join Manitoba Justice as a Probation Officer 3 in Winnipeg. In this full-time role, you will supervise adults and youth on probation while conducting assessments and preparing court reports.
As a Probation Officer, you will engage in case management and support individuals under conditional sentences, community service orders, and youth orders. Your experience in social sciences, combined with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, will empower you to make a meaningful impact. This position values cultural sensitivity and encourages working both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit court ordered reports
• Provide supervision for probationers and youth
• Conduct individual assessments and interviews
• Deliver intervention programs and resources
• Assist with reintegration efforts from custody
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social sciences
• Experience in case management for youth or adults
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history
• Effective conflict resolution skills
• Valid Class 5F Manitoba driver's licence
