The Métis Spirit Worker position is essential for the delivery of the Metis Spirit Program, including mentoring youth and offering individual counseling. Collaboration with agency workers and community resources is key to successfully connecting clients with opportunities. Candidates with a social sciences background and relevant youth experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer mentoring and support services to youth
• Collaborate with community agencies and stakeholders
• Execute all required reporting accurately
• Facilitate engaging group programs
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Social Sciences is essential
• At least three years of experience working with youth
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques
• Valid Manitoba driver’s license and vehicle needed
• Experience working with Indigenous communities preferred
