Position: Housing Mentor for Youth Support
Join Housing First as a Housing Mentor and support youth aged 18-30 with housing challenges. Build trusting relationships and provide individualized, trauma-informed assistance.

As a Housing Mentor, you’ll collaborate with the Housing First team to address the unique needs of participants.

Your role will encompass developing supportive relationships, assisting with tenancy understanding, and promoting individual goal achievement. This position requires you to mediate between participants and landlords, ensuring holistic support throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop trusting relationships with participants aged 18-30

• Assist with tenancy rights and responsibilities understanding

• Mediate issues between participants and landlords

• Help participants access basic needs and income support

• Document support activities within HIFIS database

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in social services or relevant experience

• Knowledge of Indigenous peoples' issues

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle access
