Support vulnerable youth in Manitoba as a Street Reach Outreach Worker with The Link. Engage with at-risk youth through mobile outreach, advocacy, and community collaboration.
Join The Link, dedicated to supporting families for over 90 years, as a Street Reach Outreach Worker. Focused on high-risk children, you'll utilize a trauma-informed approach to engage and build relationships with youth showing significant vulnerability.
Your role involves collaboration with Child and Family Services and community partners to ensure safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct proactive outreach in various community locations
• Build trusting relationships with youth and families
• Respond to locate high-risk youth and conduct safety planning
• Advocate for youth needs across multiple support systems
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of cases
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in social services or related field
• 3-4 years of direct service experience, including outreach
• Strong understanding of youth dynamics and legislative frameworks
• Experience working with diverse youth communities
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
