Join Glenlawn Collegiate as a Direct Support Worker for youth this summer in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Aim to engage with youth aged 13-21, providing the extra care they need.
In this full-time position from July 6 to August 21, you will work weekdays to create a safe and fun environment. Building rapport with youth and their families is essential. Applicants will benefit from experience in youth support and a strong skill set in communication and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build strong connections with youth and their caregivers
• Plan and engage in leisure and recreational activities
• Uphold a safe and respectful atmosphere for participants
• Assist youth with specific needs through targeted support
• Collaborate effectively with fellow team members
Requirements:
• Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed
• Experience or training working with supportive youth services preferable
• Successful Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
• Knowledge in WEVAS or NVCI is advantageous
