CYFN is hiring Family Support Workers for various programs focused on different aspects of family preservation. Candidates will provide information about community services, empower residents facing challenges, and support children in nurturing settings. Your experience in social services will help First Nations families find stability and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide referrals and information on community services
• Liaise with First Nation governments and child services
• Support families experiencing violence and homelessness
• Assist children with meals, transportation, and schoolwork
• Nurture emotional support in a home-like environment
Requirements:
• High school education or equivalent
• Relevant post-secondary training or coursework
• Minimum one year experience in social services
• Ability to support families facing various challenges
• Commitment to empowering Yukon First Nations families
