Community Connector at Family Dynamics

Empower individuals transitioning to independent living as a Community Connector at Family Dynamics. This role focuses on supporting residents through life skills development and crisis intervention while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

As a Community Connector, you will report to a Clinical Supervisor and play a critical role in assisting residents, primarily Indigenous and Newcomer women and children, as they move from crisis to stability. You’ll provide emotional support, collaborate on individualized support plans, and facilitate essential workshops that address the effects of trauma and gender-based violence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop positive relationships with residents and advocate for their needs

• Conduct regular home visits and wellness checks

• Facilitate workshops promoting skills development and community building

• Respond to crises and de-escalate situations effectively

• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social Work or related field

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in social services

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and community issues

• Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
