Join Main Street Project as a Community Outreach Worker focusing on a crucial Van Outreach initiative. This role involves direct assistance to marginalized individuals, enhancing living conditions in Winnipeg.

As a Community Outreach Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team addressing homelessness through evening shifts. Your responsibilities include providing essential supplies, transportation, and support during emergencies. Maintaining compassion and respect, you help clients navigate difficult circumstances while promoting dignity and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure essential resources are delivered to community members

• Drive and manage Outreach Vans effectively

• Document incidents and respond to emergencies swiftly

• Conduct wellness checks for vulnerable clients

• Educate participants about available services and advocate for them

Requirements:

• Relevant education in human services or related fields

• Experience working in outreach is a plus

• Class 5 driver's license and clear background checks

• CPR, First Aid, and Mental Health certification needed

• Comfort with diverse cultural practices and clients
