Summer Intake Worker Women's

Make a difference as a Summer Intake Worker with The Salvation Army. You'll provide vital, client-centered assistance to women and children facing gender-based violence while working in a supportive environment.

This position focuses on trauma-informed care, working collaboratively with diverse populations impacted by intimate partner violence and human trafficking. Engage in direct client support through intake interviews, crisis intervention, and safety planning. This role requires excellent communication skills alongside a commitment to equitable resource access and comprehensive emotional support.

• Complete intake documentation and assessments for shelter entrants
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning for clients
• Offer practical support through referrals and resources
• Maintain client logs and ensure accurate case documentation
• Facilitate community outreach programs and activities

• Enrolled in Social Work or related field
• Experience with survivors of GBV or trauma
• Knowledge in trauma-informed care approaches
• Robust communication and case management skills
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification required
