This full-time, unionized role focuses on fostering student wellness and success within a culturally respectful environment. Your responsibilities include providing trauma-informed support, conducting wellness check-ins, and facilitating referrals to community resources. You'll empower students to achieve their Mature Grade 12 Diploma and navigate personal challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver trauma-informed support and advocacy to students
• Follow up with students for wellness check-ins
• Assist in overcoming educational and personal barriers
• Provide crisis intervention and connect to wellness services
• Create an inclusive, culturally respectful learning environment
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Social Work, Education, or related fields
• Experience with Indigenous students or community support programs
• Certification in Crisis Intervention or related training is an asset
• Valid driver’s license
• Understanding of culturally responsive support approaches
