The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Responsibilities- Assess client employability.
- Assess client needs and barriers to employment.
- Assess steps to reduce or remove client employment barriers.
- Develop a client Action Plan that assists a client to become employed.
- Coordinate case management supports and services.
- Refer clients to programs and services for meeting training, employment supports or mental/addiction and job transition supports.
- Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
- Diploma in social sciences.
- One-year experience in counselling First Nations members.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak Cree and knowledge of the Woodland Cree culture is an asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle.
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract.
