Join Sask Abilities in a full time Mentor role focused on enhancing employability skills for our partners in Saskatoon. This temporary position runs until March 31, 2027, guaranteeing impactful contributions.
The Mentor will contribute to the Partners in Employment program by designing individualized plans that cater to each participant's needs. This person-centered approach ensures effective employment skill development while supporting individuals with disabilities in their job placements and ongoing growth.
Responsibilities- Developing personalized employability skills plans
- Mentoring participants at employment sites
- Tracking participant progress and adapting strategies
- Providing education and support for effective communication
- Encouraging self-management and independent action
- Disability Support Worker/Rehabilitation Worker Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years in Human Services with disability focus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with community resources and supports
- Driver's license and personal vehicle necessary
Utilize your expertise to foster independence and skills in those you mentor.
