As a mentor support staff, you will oversee the SWEEP work program, guiding youth during essential spring and summer activities. This position requires interaction with vulnerable populations and emphasizes teaching safety around tools. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support clients within the SWEEP program
• Model excellent customer service for clients and peers
• Teach safe use of gardening and maintenance tools
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas
• Report and evaluate client progress regularly
Requirements:
• Prior experience with at-risk youth preferred
• Valid First Aid/CPR training is mandatory
• Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector checks
• Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities
• Must be aged 18-29 for this role
