Serve the Serpent River First Nation as a Neonatal Outreach Worker at Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services. This full-time role focuses on supporting high-risk Indigenous mothers in a culturally aware environment.
As a Neonatal Outreach Worker, you will provide targeted services for Aboriginal mothers before and after birth, ensuring alignment with the agency's policies and First Nation standards. Reporting to the Neonatal Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building trusting relationships within communities and addressing the specific needs of families. Your efforts will help improve maternal and child health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and assist high-risk mothers in need
• Provide outreach and support to the community
• Adhere to policies and best practices for child services
• Engage with local Indigenous organizations and families
• Document and report on client progress and needs
Requirements:
• Community College Diploma in Social Services preferred
• Experience with Indigenous families and children
• Knowledge of Anishnawbek culture and teachings
• Successful Criminal Records Check required
• Class ‘G’ Driver’s Licence and insurance coverage
