Become a vital part of The Link's team as a Housing Mentor focused on youth support. Empower individuals aged 18-30 to achieve housing stability through compassion and guidance.
In this full-time position, you will build genuine relationships while assisting participants in understanding their rights and responsibilities as tenants. Committed to trauma-informed care, you'll work collaboratively within the Housing First initiative, advocating effectively on behalf of youth facing various challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Nurture supportive relationships with program participants
• Provide ongoing guidance on housing-related issues
• Develop rapport with landlords to secure housing
• Document engagements and assist with daily living activities
• Maintain professionalism in all administrative duties
Requirements:
• Education in social services or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal and crisis intervention skills
• Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Recent criminal record checks
Support young adults in overcoming barriers to housing and fostering resilience in your community.
