Position: Settlement Services Assistant – Full-Time
Join Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto as a Settlement Services Assistant. This temporary full-time position is dedicated to aiding newcomers in integrating into their new community with essential support and resources.

Located in Toronto, this position is ideal for passionate individuals aged 15-30 who wish to make a difference in refugees' lives. Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, planning group sessions, and managing casework. Your expertise will help newcomers navigate housing, transportation, and social services efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and facilitate client group sessions

• Implement community outreach plans for services

• Assist clients in understanding available services

• Monitor client progress and follow up regularly

• Maintain up-to-date client files and documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or comparable

• 1-3 years in a Settlement Worker role

• Second language fluency (e.g., Mandarin, Dari)

• Experience in conflict and crisis management

• Access to a vehicle for community outreach

Contribute significantly to the settlement support efforts at Newcomer Women’s Services in Toronto.
