Youth Support Worker - Trauma-Informed Care

Join 360 Kids in York Region as an Overnight Youth Support Worker, focusing on trauma-informed counseling for at-risk youth. This role is essential for supporting those facing significant life challenges during night shifts.

In the HOPE Program, you'll provide critical assistance to youth impacted by sexual exploitation. Your responsibilities will include direct counseling, crisis management, and ensuring access to community services. This position suits individuals with a passionate commitment to improving the lives of unhoused youth while navigating their realities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess individual youth needs through in-person meetings

• Facilitate life skills sessions and connect youth with appropriate services

• Provide direct counseling and be a positive role model

• Manage crisis situations and implement effective response strategies

• Document case plans and advocate for youth requirements

Requirements:

• CYW Diploma/Degree or related experience

• Prior experience supporting street youth highly preferred

• TCI training or readiness to complete it

• Current First Aid/CPR certification

• Valid G driver’s license and personal vehicle for transportation
