Join our Brantford team as a Support Counsellor focused on guiding youth through various challenges. Engage with clients using harm reduction strategies tailored to their Support Plans.
This part-time position requires a college diploma in Human or Social Services and a minimum of two years working with youth facing complex issues. Collaborating with the Cornerstone team, your role will emphasize creating a safe and nurturing environment, enabling clients to overcome their struggles and flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in adhering to their Support Plans
• Implement the Housing First approach daily
• Collaborate with the Cornerstone team to enhance programs
• Employ harm reduction approaches in interactions
• Ensure facilities maintain cleanliness and safety
Requirements:
• College diploma in Human/Social Services is essential
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Experienced with MS Office and database systems
• Access to dependable transportation required
• Mandatory police vulnerable sector check
